The polar bear is an artisan created lampwork glass bead. The ornament also has one large round shungite bead (17mm diameter), one lovely "sugared" white lampwork bead - suggestive of an iceberg - and one blue glass bead to complete the ensemble.

It's strung on fine but very tough, thermally processed cording that resembles fine wire but is more flexible.
